Quickie With Scott Tousignant – Keep Reading Ladies
Posted on Sunday, September 6th, 2009
Oh boy… this week has been incredible! A Quickie twice a day with Scott. I feel energized, while being relaxed at the same time. Sore, while feeling good. Scott has added a wonderful new dimension to my life, put a smile on my face, and made my thighs, abdomen, arms, shoulders, and my generous behind ache, in that pleasant way that we know and love. And, I’m sleeping the whole night through which is something I quit doing when I turned 50. Oh, glorious slumber… ahhhhh… I don’t ever want to stop my Quickies with Scott Tousignant. Would you?
Gotcha wondering, what the….. ?
Okay, I confess. My daughter actually introduced me to Scott just one glorious week ago when I accepted her Computer Butt Challenge on her website NicoleOnTheNet.com. Scott Tousignant is the creator of the FatLossQuickie video exercise program that has been the cause of all this elation.
The program’s focus or target is actually folks like me who happen to work at home on a computer all day. We tend to sit for six, eight, or more hours in a row at our computers, typing and reading documents, gazing upon a computer monitor, rarely budging. The idea is that, as we sit, our energy level starts to drop off dramatically, our focus starts to fade, and our overall brain power tends to, well, switch off. We want to get more work done, so we sit longer and longer and longer.
A curious phenomenon occurs at some point during the work day. The longer we sit, the less work we get done. How does this happen? Let’s say I want to work for 7 hours today, but as I sit for 7 hours, my productivity actually drops off to more like a 4 hour work day. This happens day after day after day for the 5 days I’m working this week, and pretty soon my desired 35 hour work week just dropped off to 20 hours of production. For a freelancer like me, that’s 15 hours less each week that I’m working. Now I’m losing money! Yikes!
Many folks, (guilty), put off exercising until they “have the time.” It’s like anything in our life – you can’t save it up for someday and then do it all at once and expect results. You wouldn’t do that with your food – eat one huge meal once a week expecting to get the proper nutrition you need. You wouldn’t do that with drinking water. You wouldn’t do that with brushing your teeth. So, why is it that we think some intense, extended form of exercise done seldomly will benefit us on a daily basis? Risk of injury and no results should convince you that this is not a reasonable approach to fitness.
Whether you work at home sitting behind a computer or not, the idea of doing something physical several times a day to boost your metabolism and your energy level, is a good one. Not everyone will be able to incorporate all of this program into their work day, especially if you can’t close your office door or you wear fancy clothes to work, but much of it can be tweaked to add to your day. Even if you work outside the home, this exercise routine can work for you. You may want to add it to your after work routine at home, for instance.
Enough said about why we should get off our butts and exercise daily, now how do you do it?
The biggest obstacle in most people’s lives seems to be the time. Scott has eliminated this excuse by creating two 10 minute sessions per day. Yup, just 10 minutes twice a day out of your busy schedule. Take a morning break, do a session… take an afternoon break, do a session. Those two 10 minute Quickies with Scott will go so fast, you won’t believe you ever made excuses not to exercise!
The first session each day is a group of weight and resistance-type exercises. The second session each day is a series of cardio exercises. The exercise routines do require a couple pieces of equipment – a floor exercise ball, those big ones you see, a couple light free-weights (or cans of baked beans as my daughter’s using, ha!) and a smaller exercise ball. Not all the exercises require this equipment, but most do. It’s worth the small investment in a floor-ball, especially, because it enhances the exercises quite a bit.
At this point, I hope you’re curious enough to check it out. Just click on the graphic below to read about Scott and Angie’s incredible adventure from fat (hey, they said it, not me!) to fit and feeling great.
But, wait, when you click on and start reading, do yourself another favor. Quickly scroll to the bottom of Scott’s site and check out the price. This is for a one month program with a professional trainer walking you through a fitness program for five days each week. Go ahead, click on the graphic now, scroll down, and be amazed.
Isn’t that an incredibly low price!? I couldn’t believe it at first. I thought it was some sort of trick, like a try one exercise, then pay for the rest. This is for ONE WHOLE MONTH of exercises! Plus, you also receive recipes, support both from Scott and a whole community, accountability that keeps you on track, and a few laughs at Scott’s home-life as he videotapes his exercises (what with a toddler, cat, and passing train…). Don’t let the ultra-buff picture on the graphic fool ya! This guy is a REAL dyed-in-the-wool family man with all sorts of struggles, just like all of us.
I hope you give Scott’s FatLossQuickie a try. If you know anyone who sits at a computer for way too long every day, please pass this on to him or her. If your energy level is not what it should be, or what you want it to be, you can change that. I did!
Having been fighting with weight gain, loss of muscle tone, lack of sleep, and lack of energy since I’ve gotten older, Scott’s FatLossQuickie has been a God-send. Sharing in Nicole’s Computer Butt challenge with other folks has given me a lot of laughs, some pretty sore muscles, and tremendously increased energy during my day.
I can’t recommend this exercise program enough. Take a look at Nicole’s blog by clicking here to read some of the commenting going on as we’ve gone through our first week of her Computer Butt challenge. You’ll have a few laughs at my expense, for sure! The younger folk have been picking on me a little. Just kidding! I’ve been getting nothing but support for, not only improving my own physical and mental health, but being a good role model to my grandchildren. Very sweet and very true.
Hope to see you soon at Scott’s FatLossQuickie doing the program with me! You deserve a happy, healthy life!
p.s. We repeat the same exercises as week 1 for each week during the month, so we can see how we progressed by doing the same movements over again. You’ll receive the emailed download for Day 1, then daily for the 5 days, Monday through Friday, when you join. You’ll also receive nutrition tips and motivational videos, as well as alternate exercises if you have back or knee problems to overcome.
p.p.s. Don’t be worried if the exercises seem hard at first… we all just move along at our own pace. Whatever works for you, works for you! Come and exercise with Scott, and me, and have fun!
Not convinced yet? Click on this video to get a taste of a normal family man doing an incredible cardio workout. You have to laugh at the distractions this man has to live with while exercising…
Hope you enjoyed this peek into Scott’s REAL life! Later all!

Go mom! 🙂
Yes, staring at the computer monster (uhh.. I mean monitor) for hours a day sitting on your butt turns a healthy gal into a computer butt, fast.
Scott has quickly become a dear friend, and he’s proven that he’s the real deal again and again by supporting those that I care about.
Three cheers for Quickies!
And, extremely proud of you, mom. You could have easily said “no” when I asked you to join us. So glad you didn’t!
Much love,
Nik

Thanks, Nicole!
Yes, I’m so glad I didn’t say no, too. 🙂
Scott really is the real deal, isn’t he? I was a little intimidated by his buff bod, but it didn’t take much to see that he’s just a regular guy. Especially when his sweet little baby calls him a, what was it… a butt brain? Nothin’ like being trash-talked by a kid when you’re trying to get through a workout, a video-taped workout, no less!
Anyway, thanks for the encouragement and the invitation to join your Computer Butt challenge. This is one Butt that’s really behind you and this challenge… ha!… get it?
Lame puns… looks like it’s time for coffee. Gotta go.
Love ya and thanks a million once more,
The Mom

Thanks Tracy!
The Bees Knees… Ha! I haven’t heard that one in a while. 😀
Yes, this has been an incredible week and I’m so glad I joined! Thanks for your support! I can’t wait to see the results, too, although, I must say, my tummy is already starting to shrink a little. 😀 Could be the whole “no wine” thing, though. Ha!
Thanks again!

Thanks Susanne!
I agree. Those few minutes with Scott just fly by because he does just pull ya right along. I can’t believe that I did 100 squats along with Scott! But then realized how Scott just made you WANT to stay up with him and keep going. It helped that he broke the squats up into 10 each time. It made the goal more achievable for me.
Thanks for your support!

Don’t you just love Scott & his Fat Loss Quickie program? I think he’s the bees knees 😉
Kudos to you for joining Nicole in Scott’s Quickie Challenge – can’t wait to see the results for everyone.

Hard to believe we already made it through week 1. I’m with you the program and Scott. He’s just so full of energy and just pulls you right along in those daily quickie workouts.

Oh ya………. that it does, Arika. 🙂
I don’t know if Scott is like this with ALL the ladies, but I’m sure glad he’s treating THESE ladies right!
Thanks to you too, Arika, for supporting me along this fitness journey. I hope you’re back on the wagon this week, but, hey, like you said, Scott and all the great folks who are moving through this program with you will keep a smile on your face and a “hitch in your giddy up.” I’m so glad I joined up!
😀

Ahhh Hurts so Good doesn’t it? 🙂
I tell ya, even though I fell off the wagon a bit this week I’m still feeling wonderful and Scott has a lot to do with that…Makes you wonder if he’s like this with ALL the ladies! LOL
Having you and Nik and everyone else along for this journey makes it so much more fun and easy to stick with! So, Thank You “Mom” for joining along. Looking forward to another week of GREATNESS with good friends like you by my side!
