Sunday Funnies – Total Makeover
Posted on Sunday, April 17th, 2011
My Gram saved the Sunday Funny Papers for me and my daughter Nicole every week – many, many years ago. I think it gave us both an appreciation for the fine art of mixing humor with work. (It could also explain a lot… ) I’ll try to pass on my Gram’s gift here, sort of as a reminder to laugh every day. Thanks, Gram. Let’s see who’s got a chuckle for us today…
I love it when a funny story has me puzzled right up until the end, and then I spew coffee out my nose! I love this one. Thanks to the folks at humoretc.com for allowing me to share this with my readers. Here ya go…
Sometimes it is best to leave well enough alone:
A 54 year old woman had a heart attack and was taken to the hospital. While on the operating table she had a near death experience. Seeing God she asked, “Is my time up?”
God said, “No, you have another 43 years, 2 months and 8 days to live.”
Upon recovery, the woman decided to stay in the hospital and have a face-lift, liposuction, breast implants and a tummy tuck. She even had someone come in and change her hair color and brighten her teeth! Since she had so much more time to live, she figured she might as well make the most of it.
After her last operation, she was released from the hospital. While crossing the street on her way home, she was killed by an ambulance.
Arriving in front of God, she demanded, “I thought you said I had another 43 years? Why didn’t you pull me from out of the path of the ambulance?”
God replied: “I didn’t recognize you.”
Ha!
Thanks again to humoretc.com for today’s Sunday Funny.
p.s. Please, I’m beggin’ ya, leave a comment. It gets so lonely here on the ‘internets.’

Patti,
As we grow older I’ve noticed that the past and the future begin to converge into the present. It’s at times like this when comfort is important. And Laughter.
Thanks Patti!
Bob

You are most welcome, Bob. Yes, laughter is the great healer. During times of extreme sadness, my family has always found a way to laugh, to find joy. Thanks for spending time with me here, and thanks for your lovely comment. I appreciate it more than you know!

Thanks, OSS! I saw a live liposuction on TV once and GAG! That’s another reason not to have one. Yikes!
