Hail To The Chief

What a wonderful day! The air is just a little sweeter today, the sun is a little brighter, and we can be proud to have been a part of this momentous occasion. Whether your political affiliations leaned this way or that, whether you agree with the policies of this new administration or adhere to the policies of the past, today is a great day for this Country. A new day.
Given the current economy, wars, global pollution, health care costs, education crisis, dependence on foreign oil, and the myriad of challenges that face us today, we need a strong, non-partisan government to take this Country of ours through some difficult paces. I’m sure we all feel a mix of anxiety and hope as we watch this new administration tackle the tough issues that confront us.
With a watchful eye and hopeful heart, I join a grateful Nation in wishing our new President and First Lady all good things in the years to come.

You are right on when you say this is a great day for the country, regardless of our different beliefs. I believe Obama will embrace those different beliefs we all have, in a new way, and help us maybe minimize their importance, so that we can concentrate on what we all do want, and what we can all do to help. I’ve never felt so civic-minded in my life! Have a great day!
Yes, OSS, I shudder when I think what we’ve gone through these last years. I hope our grandchildren will look back on this new era and see it as the time when common sense and decency ruled the land once again. Take care and have a wonderful day!
