BP Rig Explosion And Oil Spill – One Year Later
Posted on Tuesday, April 19th, 2011
Contrary to what BP and the tourism industry says, there is still oil in the water and tar balls in the beautiful white sands of Pensacola Beach. The proof is in the seeing, and I saw it.
I don’t begrudge anyone a trip to the beach, but I do begrudge BP their lies. No… the oil and tar balls are NOT cleaned up. They keep washin’ ashore.
But…
The beaches are still beautiful.
The restaurants are still fantastic.
The scenery is still incredible.
But the oil is still out there. The crews are on the beaches cleaning up every day. What they need to do is clean the Gulf. I know they’re out there, but not enough is being done.
Please don’t let this disaster fade from our consciousness. Eleven people died in this explosion. Countless families were affected. The sea life we know is forever threatened.
Just don’t forget.
I shared pictures and thoughts about this disaster in my backyard last year. If you want to take a look, please click on these links:
